We offer locations across the GTA that fit your commute, and opportunities to teach and more than one location if you desire.

Between your gigs, travel, and professional responsibilities we match a schedule that benefits the both of us. We also provide learning opportunities through sponsored webinars by the RCM, as well as gigging opportunities in our communities!

Our Partnerships

From RCM books, Yamaha keyboards, and tuning services; our schools are equipped with the latest tools to better empower you to teach lessons. Our partnerships allow us to provide online resources such as the Faber Teacher Atlas and the RCM Teacher Portal completely FREE for our instructors.

Facilities & Support Staff

When teaching, you can expect regularly tuned pianos, and private studio rooms. We handle all the scheduling, phone calls, and registration paperwork! Our administration understands the nuances of music and will work with you to share your musical vision. The only thing you have to worry about is sharing your passion with musicians from all walks of life.

Remote Teaching

Whether there is a snow day, sick students, or any unfortunate situations out of anyone’s control, we are prepared. Should you opt to teach online lessons, we will train you and provide you the tools necessary to succeed in this endeavor. Whether it be in our locations, or at home, we will help keep lessons on track through any circumstance.

Community

We’ve been a part of communities for decades; and we’d love to have you share your talents with aspiring musicians in your neighborhood. We reguarly provide group lessons for local community centers, and are always involved in festivals. Learn new skills and trades while also becoming a part of the musical ecosystem of the GTA.

Instructor Responsibilities

As an instructor at Arcadia Academy of Music, you will provide sound practices, knowledge and guidance to individuals of all ages. It is expected that you carry out the following duties:

  1. Establish a professional relationship with parents and students.
  2. Dress appropriately (dress code info will be provided upon hiring).
  3. Organize and be coherent in your lesson structure/plans.
  4. Use approved materials and method books to teach students following the school’s provided syllabus.
  5. Communicate with parents about their child’s lessons and progress in the program.
  6. Encourage all students to participate in performances, examinations, auditions, festivals and attending their regularly scheduled lesson.
  7. Attend and participate in workshops and meetings.
  8. Assess students’ abilities, providing constructive feedback and advice for improvement and completing annual progress reports.

Current Instructor Openings

Currently we are looking for Instructors that live within the Greater Toronto Area. You must be able to commute to your chosen location when applying. We have waiting lists of new students at all locations, looking to take in-class lessons.

Brampton North – Piano, Drums, Guitar, Voice.

Brampton West – Piano, Drums.

Burlington – Piano, Voice, Guitar.

Maple – Piano, Guitar.

Markham – Piano, Voice, Violin.

Newmarket – Intermediate/Advanced Guitar, Piano, Voice & Band.

Nobleton – Piano, Trumpet, Violin (urgent need for Violin).

Richmond Hill – Piano, Drums, Guitar. Immediate need for Piano Instructors.
